The unusual facades of Paris

The Cité Malesherbes in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, between the rue des Martyrs and the rue Victor Massé, has some very beautiful polychrome facades belonging to private mansions. The "Cathédrale" building at 61 rue Réaumur, a 20-minute walk from Maison Mère, is just as impressive. Not far from here in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, discover the oldest house in Paris, that of Nicolas Flamel, nicknamed "the most popular French alchemist" even though he never touched chemistry in his life! It is his legend that was used in the films Harry Potter and The Fantastic Beasts.

Parisian monuments not to be missed 

The Louvre, the Pompidou Centre and the Eiffel Tower are of course must-sees, but if you want to get off the beaten track, head for more authentic areas such as the 9th arrondissement. Discover the Gustave Moreau Museum, a jewel of the 19th century, or the Grévin Museum and its wax figures, which have become more and more similar over the years, or the Perfume Museum located between the Paris Opera and the Saint Lazare train station, which is free of charge upon reservation! To experience a show in the heart of Paris, go to the Folies Bergères or the warm Edouard VII theater.
